Poker is a rollercoaster, you just gotta ride it

Results continue in the right direction put the path is winding and I have made mistakes through frustration at my boom bust progress. I genuinely feel $1.35 per game is sustainable long term if I can control my emotions better and eliminate most mistakes. Often there are judgement calls when any approach (call,raise or fold) can be justified. These are easy to handle but clear cut decisions where I take the wrong path, say calling when I know I am behind without the right pot odds can hurt. Position, Position, Position

All is well with my Maui challenge in January though a challenge it has been so far. With 4% of games played I am on track but I have had a couple of tough sessions and often I am playing against fatigue as well as nine other players. My interest in the NFL playoffs has not helped though some of the games have been awesome. In terms of consolation bonuses I have come close a couple of times (bad beats long since forgotten) and I am confident in my statistical belief that I will win at least five this year. Below is a chart of my finish positions for the 120 games to date follow. Overall I am happy but experts like Jennifear could pick holes in my strategy I am sure. Twelve games should be the average so I am happy that none of the lower positions are higher than this but twenty one thirds is not ideal. Am I trying too hard to cash? Your thougths would be most welcome.

Early January Results

I have made a solid start to my Maui challenge albeit on a very small sample of games which represents 1% of the total I will play this year. I have played 30 games and made $45 dollars after 4 days which is exactly where I need to be. I have had some good luck but also made a couple of errors which I need to eliminate to keep on target. I will report again later this month when I have a more meaningful sample.   Username Games Played Av.
